Bypass Activation Cracks
Timerstop: WGA: Fail
Rating: 8/10 because it will freeze the countdown, but you will not be actually activated
This was one of the first cracks that came out for Windows Vista. This modified timerstop.sys so that it would freeze the timer. I think this was disabled by Microsoft a while ago through Windows Updates.
2099 Timerstop: WGA: Pass, but will disable
Rating: 8/10 because it will freeze the countdown, but you will not be actually activated
This is similar to the original timerstop, but this one doesn’t modify timerstop.sys. This one sets the date to 2099, and rearms it, so it wont expire until 2099.
If you have already installed vista….
1. set the date to 2099 (or whatever year)
2. go to command prompt, run as admin, and type
slmgr.vbs -rearm
3. the timer should be stuck at 30 days, and will count down once it reaches the date you inputed in step 1
to check to make sure that you’re still not counting down, type this in command prompt:
slmgr.vbs -dlv
This crack was disabled by Windows Updates, but as long as you reapply it, it still works.
Cracks that activate
Frankenbuild WGA: Fail, reduced functionality mode
Rating: Variable: If you don’t try windows genuine advantage, or updates, 9/10 because it activates, but you’ll have beta files on your pc. If you do do windows genuine advantage and updates, 1/10 because you’ll be instantly thrown into reduced functionality mode.
This crack is already fixed by m$ through updates. But if you never installed an update, it could be useful. However, you’ll need an rc1 key. Replace the tokens.dat and pkeyconfig.xrm-ms from the rc builds to put them in final, then it will ask for a key, and type in your rc1/2 key. it will activate online, and don’t download updates.
KMS Servers WGA: Fail
Rating: Variable: If you don’t try windows genuine advantage, or updates, 9/10 because it activates, but you have to reactivate every 180 days. If you do do windows genuine advantage and updates, 1/10 because you’ll be instantly thrown into reduced functionality mode.
This was once very popular, but now is seldom used. This is only for the Business and Enterprise editions of Windows Vista. Go into the elevated command prompt, and type this:
slmgr.vbs -skms *name of kms server
I will not provide any names of kms servers, because they are not reliable and are constantly changing. Search with Google.
After setting the kms server, type this in:
slmgr.vbs -ato If all goes well, you should be activated. This is currently the only way to activate Windows Vista Enterprise (you can use timerstop, but that just stops timer).
NOTE: YOU WILL NOT PASS WGA WITH THIS CRACK (key blacklisted)
OEM Activations
Cracks: There are two main oem cracks, which are paradox and vistaloader. These emulate a slic table from an actual bios of whatever manufacturer is selected.
Paradox: WGA: Pass
Rating: 4/10 Can be too easily detected, and doesn’t work with x64 or nforce drivers, but it still activates.
Paradox only works with 32-bit oses (its a driver, and in 64bit, drivers have to be signed by ms. I wonder why they didnt want to sign this one. tough one, eh?), and is very easy to detect. This is the royal.sys driver, which emulates the slic table, which tricks vista into activating as long as it has the corresponding oem key and certificate installed.
Softmod/vistaloader Crack: WGA: Pass
Rating 6/10 This will take a lot longer than paradox for Microsoft to disable, and it still activates.
This is much safer than the paradox crack, but more invasive. This screws around with the MBR, to emulate a slic table. Harder to detect by M$, and works with 64bit vista. Pretty much the same….
Modded Bootmgr: Bootmgr is a file that starts windows. There was a modified version released to contain a slic table, and to trick vista into OEM activation.
BIOS Mod: WGA: Pass
Rating 8/10 because of the risk involved (a mean person might send you a corrupt bios so you’d have a shit mobo), and that eventually, microsoft can check with oems whether or not the bios originally came with a slic table.
This is the most unsafe, but the most secure against detection from microsoft. This involves modifying the bios to have a slic table, to make it virtually no different than a real original OEM activating computer. Install the oem certificate, and key, and you’re actvated. This risks your motherboard, if its the wrong bios, or unsuccessful flash.
OEM Legit Bios Update WGA: Pass
Rating 10/10, will always work no matter what
This isn’t a crack, but this is what I personally use. Check your manufacturer’s website to see if they have a bios update for your computer. Be careful that you’re sure that its for your computer, because if its not, chances are you’re screwed. Download the latest bios update, if its dated after vista was released (1-30-07), and hopefully it willl have a slic table. You are genuine and activated for life for sure with this method. For the time being, ASUS does not, and DELL does do this, (for the time being, may change. if you have this method, but from a diff manufacturer, let me know and i can add it to this list)
Key Generators:
Brute Force Keygenerators: WGA: Pass
Rating: 1/10 because although they will generate a key, there’s no telling how long it would take.
These are applications that will hammer against the vista’s activation components, trying random keys until it find one that works. This can take billions of years to find a working key, but eventually, they will work. Note that this does NOT hammer against Microsoft’s activation servers, and therefore, them limiting the amount of times per 15 minutes it can be tried or so will not have any effect on this.
Standard Keygenerators: WGA: Unknown, but likely will fail if one comes out.
Rating: 8/10, because although this would be a major breakthrough, Microsoft can just do what it did with XP
This is what everyone is looking forward to. These will instantly generate a product key that will at least install Windows Vista, not necessarily activate, because Microsoft didn’t let xp keygen-generated keys pass Windows Genuine Advantage, because they keep a long list of keys they sold, however, an application called wga-fix.exe made these XP generated keys genuine. Lets hope something like that comes for Windows Vista

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Hey! *insert crack name here* was disabled by update *kb number*! How come its not posted here?
A: Send me an email and I’ll check it out. If its real, then I’ll be sure to update with the new info.
Q: What about the wonderful cracked NoPE release of Vista?
A: That’s not really a cracked one with WPA and WGA completely removed. It’s just a vista with an integrated OEM crack. It’s much better to do things yourself, so you know what you’re doing.
Q: Why is this FAQ so short?
A: because I’m a busy guy and I do not spend my entire life in front of the computer, so I will not do major changes at one time.

Updated to include Key Generators and now has ratings for each crack.

Hi
Great stuff. A few questions. The method you say you use yourself does that only involve a BIOS upgrade using a BIOS that contains a SLIC table? I mean, don’t you need one of the OEM/BIOS cracks like the Softmod/Vistaloader crack too and in that case do I simply replace the supplied BIOS with my own one?
May 27th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
nice article!
i have a question about the oem 10/10 rating method… when you say “and hopefully it willl have a slic table”, how can i know if my bios has a slic table?, and if the bios has it… what i must do to be activated? simply using the serial provided for the manufacturer in the oem activations cracks?
i have downloaded an asus update bios for my mobo dated a few days ago only…
thanks in advance!

Hi,
i’m using the vista corporate activated with a local image of a kms server.
I can update trough windows update.
Can I use WGA to downoad from microsoft site?
Thanks

You failed to mention the best crack of all - PARADOX !
May 30th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
^^ You failed to read the article you moron.
May 30th, 2007 at 9:41 pm
Why: Some companies do not publically release a bios with a slic table, so hopefully yours will. Those bootloaders emulate slic tables, if you have a real table, then its exactly like an OEM Machine. You will not need anything with the bios update.
k0rp0rate: there is software callede ACPIScope, which will allow you to view tables, click on file, click “Load ACPI Information” then click “From BIOS”, and look for SLIC table. Hope all goes well for you.
carlo: The only thing I can think of is reinstalling windows, then doing a WGA check (before applying KMS server), once you’re validated, disable the WGA addon for internet explorer, and then use kms server.
vmc: Yes I did, look harder.
Future update: will have links for cracks.

Updated: Now contains WGA status.

ok so i was wondering when you are going to put up links to these cracks. or atleast some instructions on the bios crack that you use. the 10/10 once i get the new bios for my board, i guess i flash the bios then do a clean install of any retail copy of vista i can get my hands on and use the OME cd Key provided to asus? that sound right? im on an asus board and there is an bios update from 3-07. only thing is i dont have any clue where to get the cd-key that m$ gave asus for their OEm builds.. any ideas?
May 31st, 2007 at 8:59 pm
Hans: You are using paradox (clony one click is automated paradox). You can use VOATK Tools to uninstall the clony crack. you can find it at keznews forum in the vista activation discussions, anyway, heres the link for it http://share.gulli.com/files/1281064636/voatktoolsv.2.2_stand_alone.exe.html
just choose to uninstall paradox. Use ACPI Scope to see your bios tables. Here is link for ACPIScope with a keygen. http://www.pirateshare.net/?id=3053259
Use the instructions i said in an earlier comment.
Carlo: What I meant was to disable WGA addon for internet explorer. You can do this after you’re done validating by going on ie, click on tools, manage add-ons, enable or disable add ons. Then just find wga and disable it (do NOT delete it), this way your system will be marked genuine, and it probably won’t bother you.
zombie: just flash the mobo with new bios, check with acpi scope if it has slic table. if it does, then reinstall windows vista, using an oem key. after that, install the ASUS license certificate, and you’ll be activated. Here are oem keys: (copied and pasted from keznews forum, thanks kez!)

sweet. ur a life saver man! now i one other problem, is there any way to view the new bios file without flashing my old one. i have that program but i cant get it to read the bios file i got from Asus site. the file is a .ROM file. If not i guess ima have to reinstall XP, flash bios, check for SLIC, install vist with leet OEM cd-key.. thx m$ =) now if this bios does not have a slic in it, any idea how i might can add one. or find a moded bios or somthing? really dont want to go vista loader or paradox, (not sure about the whole emulation thing)
May 31st, 2007 at 9:37 pm
I do not know of a way to view contents of a rom file, however, there are utilities for viewing award bioses, phoenix bioses, and ami bioses, and I dont know much about this, so I think you could use one of their utilities to look for a slic table, but I could be wrong about that. It won’t do any harm to just try it. And you dont have to be in vista to flash the bios. you can still use vista to do that. I never tried this, but everyone who didn’t screw up said it works. http://www.my digital life.info/ 2007/03/12/windows-vista-oem-award-bios-mod-method-by-adding-slic-table-with-dynamic-memory-address/
Its really technical, so i dont recommend it. Just try that bios. If not, someone probably has already modded it, so if you tell me what bios you need, i’ll look around for it.
May 31st, 2007 at 10:03 pm
here is a link the the latest bios for my board, however its a beta version..so not sure if that will effect anything. board is an a8n32-sli deluxe
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=A8N32-SLI%20Deluxe&type=map&mapindex=0
here is my problem. that board doesnt seem to like xp pro with sp2 so i installed vista RTM the day it was leaked. used the working crack at the time, where you took owner ship of 2 files and replaced them then turned off a service and u were good to go.. well that was months ago and last week i started getting pop ups saying vista was gong to expire in 12 days. last friday was the last day so i got ahold of the copy of vista where you patch the ISO b4 u burn it, did that and got msg after i installed, when it tried to reboot saying something wrong with vistaloader 2.2. bla bla.. so i tried to install xp pro..didnt work..error loading OS it said. so here i am with no OS on my pc. but this fix sems like it will work. just gotta figure out how to flash my bios. so ima install vista without a cdkey, flash the bios, check for slic and reinstall.. only thing i can think to do to get me back up and running is all this =) let me know what u think
May 31st, 2007 at 10:08 pm
Yeah, that’ll work. Don’t install any bootloaders or paradox or anything if you want to use this method.
sam: If your computer came with vista preinstalled, and want to go to a higher edition, then its so much easier. Tell me whether it did or not.
May 31st, 2007 at 10:27 pm
yea the bootloaders, i dont like.. dont seem to work. but this way looks like it should.. just have to get a bios with a slic on it. if you find a moded version or something plz let me know if u dont mind, if u do find one, send me a link via e-mail cause im about to get off work and it will be alot easier to check my mail at home rather than tring to find this post lol. e-mail, zombietop@gmail.com thx alot man

Okay, awesome. Sorry I couldn’t help you for a few hours. I was swimming. Anyway, I hope the best for you….
And to the rest of you…. ask questions when you feel. I’ve been studying these (and using these) cracks for a while. But remember, my 10/10 method is the best….

u might need this also, once u install with the OEM cdkey, get in vista and do what this link says.. not sure if its needed, says it is and i did it. so who knows
June 1st, 2007 at 6:08 pm
inuyasha62 - when you said this…………
zombie: just flash the mobo with new bios, check with acpi scope if it has slic table. if it does, then reinstall windows vista, using an oem key. after that, install the ASUS license certificate, and you’ll be activated. Here are oem keys: (copied and pasted from keznews forum, thanks kez!)
I can follow but get lost when you say “install the ASUS license certificate” isnt that what vista loader does ??
can u elaborate on how to just install the ASUS license certificate.
cheers.
ps(for those of you looking for a copy of vista, someone is selling all versions on a disk for AUD$50)
June 1st, 2007 at 8:50 pm
ubuntu: the bootloaders are called bootloaders, not license installers. they emulate slic table and install license, so you wont have to install a license, type this in admin command prompt:
slmgr.vbs -ilc
for example: if you saved asus.xrm-ms (license certificate) in the crack folder on drive d, it’d be
slmgr.vbs -ilc D:\asus.xrm-ms
June 2nd, 2007 at 1:12 am
hi thanx for info…but i have the same problem :/ i tried all moded bios but none worked…all corrupted…
what is asus license certificate and how can i found it..?
i have asus crosshair mobo…
June 2nd, 2007 at 3:42 am
Just modding the bios will not get you activated. You will need a license certificate that matches your slic table also. If you need ASUS.XRM-MS, i uploaded four license certificates for four manufacturers
Lenovo: http://rapidshare.com/files/34729786/Lenovo.xrm-ms
Hewlett Packard: http://rapidshare.com/files/34729776/Hewlett-Packard.xrm-ms

anyone got one fot the asrock xfire-esata+ moederboard..
June 4th, 2007 at 9:46 pm
sam: sorry i couldnt find you a modded bios. =( and thanks for uploading those certificiates.
paltry: just get a toshiba certificate, it dont matter what model, as long as it has a toshiba slic table. and just do a google search, i’m not going to compile every single bios i find (might in future). there is no way to tell for sure whether or not it does, but theres no harm in trying.
ubuntu: you are looking for SLIC, not SLIC TABLE.
ladyboo: i have no clue what you’re talking about.

@sam: chk with everest. in everest, on the left side, expand “motherboard”, click on “ACPI”.
then, on the right upper pane, select “RSDT”, then, on the right bottom Pane, see what it says for “OEM ID” and “OEM Table ID”.
If there’s no “RSDT” String you probably don’t have that SLIC Table. Though i’m not quite sure about this. If still unsure go to myd igitallife forum and ask there, link above in the comments somewhere.

Hi, im trying to go around a retail copy of vista ultimate. My spec is -
Asus m2n-e sli
AMD 64×2 4200
1gb ram etc…
I used ACPI Scope and when i searched for SLIC it came up with this….
\_SB.PCI0.ASOC.SLIC object references (4)
Line 3106: Store(SLIC, Local0)
Line 3112: Store(Local0, SLIC)
Line 3117: Store(SLIC, Local0)
Line 3123: Store(Local0, SLIC)
Is this my SLIC table or something else? Do i need anything else to activate it. Thanks.

I don’t see anything here about the NoPE release of new Vista crack.Claims to be the best to date? We have it but have not tried it because our two Vista computers are locked in at 30 days and run fine with all updates. To date MS has not stopped this timer stop method however I would like input about NoPE. Activated out of the box. Any information would be great. Thanks.

Hey, I have one question. I have not yet installed Vista, and I wanted to dual boot XP and Vista Ultimate. I wanted to know that if I installed a legit BIOS update from the website (I have a Gateway MX3701) that is for Vista, would I still be able to run XP? Or should I just try another method?
June 26th, 2007 at 6:41 pm
jivy: OEM keys are for oem SLP activation, so it wont work if you try to activate online, you will need a SLIC table and a matching OEM certificate to activate.
Robert T.: The NoPE release is just an installation with a built in OEM emulation crack, not worth anything, i prefer to do things myself.
Micam: Yes, you will still be able to run XP, and theres no way to be sure that the bios carries a SLIC table. I’d do it anyway though.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure. Because on the website it tried to make a big point that I didn’t have the correct OS for the bios update. But I’ll go for it and see if it does carry a SLIC table. Thanks.

Inyuasha62, You say “Install the asus security certificate”
What is this?
I’ve completed all steps minus the ‘certificate’ and am good to go.
To recap. (tried and working on Asus p5ne-sli Bios v0404)
-Make sure your pc has an SLIC Table in it’s BIOS.
-Find and Download the OEM No Activation Needed copy of Vista.
-Install
-Goto My Computer -right clik- /properties/ scroll down.
Windows is Activated. Product ID xxxxxxxxxxxx You are running Genuine Windows Software.
How do i check if i have an SLIC table?
Quote from Inuyasha62
download… “ACPIScope, which will allow you to view tables, click on file, click “Load ACPI Information†then click “From BIOSâ€, and look for SLIC table. Hope all goes well for you.”

Hi~ Inyuasha62,
I have a Dell dimension E520.
I already check that it has SLIC table in bios.
However, I couldn’t activate the vista.
After succefully installed License key, I tried to activate the vista using ’slmgr -ato’.
It gives me activation error. Do you have any idea?
Please help me……

blunted: there are oem certificates that you will need to install, they contain the OEM information. search for ASUS.xrm-ms
install it with this command:
slmgr - ilc *path to oem certificate*
for example, if i put it on my c drive:
slmgr -ilc C:\asus.xrm-ms
Skywalker:
you will need the dell oem certificate. dont know where to download it, just use what i said to blunted. search for dell.xrm-ms
July 24th, 2007 at 12:45 am
Thank you for your generous help.
But, I did use Dell.xrm-ms.
I used the dell oem product key and Dell.xrm-ms license key, but still it doesn’t work.
Do I have to find new license file? The dell license file that I have, it works with my old dell computer.
Only new one doesn’t work.
If you have any other idea, please let me know…
Thank you and have a nice day!

Ok thanks for the heads up about the certificate. I’ll go grab it now. On de Internets…
I’m guessing without the ticket It will eventually expire? Because it is saying it is fully activated at the moment, with a Dell logo.
Out of curiosity: Am i supposed to see any Parameters in the SLIC table? Like Dell branding or whatnot.
take care dude.
July 25th, 2007 at 2:00 am
Also if i might add.
I never used oemtool.
Just went through the SLMGR gamut and says system is perm activated.
Should i really install the asus cert? Maybe it is for those who don’t have an asus motherboard and wish to ‘emulate’ an asus slic table?
I was never prompted to enter a product key either upon install or for activation. “which took place automatically as i never cliked on a activate now button”
using nope edition.
July 27th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
k dude.
I read the actual blog post, and see where i missed your comment about the nope version.
That is indeed the version i am running.
But there is no SLIC Emulation going on.
July 27th, 2007 at 11:35 pm
InuYasha62
Sorry for the stupid question(s) before. I have done my homework and now see that the nope version, of which i am running is indeed using an ‘emulated’ slic table.
NOW the major question is:
Does this ‘emulated SLIC table’ add any overhead, or degrade system performance in any way possible? probably not.
Obviously it will become and issue, once MS adds a check in an update to look for something that would identify an emulated SLIC table.
and so i see your point. (damn gotta lay off the herb.)
good thing i downloaded both flavors.

hello bhashkar,
Prob. is that don’t use that OEM emulation crack and try n e other instead.
Enjoy!!
August 8th, 2007 at 8:40 pm
folks, does it have to be an OAM key? is there such a thing? Or can it be any any vista key? (I am talking about the legit BIOS ‘crack’)
August 12th, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Frankenbuild works for me and still is, WGA, Updates, Aero, EVERYTHING.
Just don’t install WGA from the Updates menu. Tho it does bring up an annoying prompt every 1 hr saying “your windows vista activation license will expire in 0 hrs, please backup all files and install any edition of vista”. Nothing happens though, and nothing has happened for about 6 months

Hey, I have a question. I’ve used a lot of cracks including the bootmgr installer, but after a few sessions windows installs some updates and eventually deactivates itself. I used the Asus oem last time for example, my bios has a slic table so I guess it can work, but it just doesn’t. Should I try another brand or is there a way to stop these checkups from M$?

Hi InuYasha62
this might be some challenge for you. I have a Apple Macbook with Vista ultimate installed on it. Obviously I need to activate it. But Bios cracks wont work on my machine. And the timers are easily detectable by MS. Please guide what can I do for my system.
Does the timer still work after installing office 2007?

Manb,
I recommend some form of emulation, and in your situation, I would go with softmod, paradox, or modified bootmgr
Apul,
I recommend the modified bootmgr if softmod or paradox wont work for you.
Ty,
You need to right click and click “run as administrator”

Sorry for not keeping up.
Cracking vista isnt much fun/challenge for me anymore.

Hi InuYasha62,
With your 10/10 method, does the OEM certificate have to match the brand of the computer?
Or can I use for instance a ASUS cert. on a DELL computer as long as I use the ASUS OEM key when installing Vista?
If not, is there a way to modify the SLIC table so it will work with one of the available certs.?
My BIOS does have the SLIC table.
Thanks..
October 21st, 2007 at 7:11 pm
If the SLIC table is a dell, then only a dell OEM certificate will work with it. Same with ASUS. Why would u want to change it anyway?
October 22nd, 2007 at 10:30 am
Because the computer brand is a Compal and I can’t find a OEM certificate for it. That’s why.
I have tried a Vista Ultimate OEM *DELL* version, which is pre-activated. It works on my computer although it is not a DELL. Do you know how this works? Is it using a BIOS SLIC emulator?
Thanks for your answer.
October 24th, 2007 at 8:19 pm
Thanks InuYasha62 for answering my question. Sory for being late to say thanks and i appreciate ur help. Thanks man.
John
Yes Vista Ultimate OEM *DELL* version is using a slic emulator. One thing u can do is u can change the dell logo with compal logo, if u require i can provide i have the compal logo with me, just post an entry regarding logo and i will upload it for u
